The Zoning and Land Use Practice group serves a diverse range of clients in all aspects of the planning, zoning, and regulatory process. In doing so, we recognize the importance of economic development and maximizing each property’s development potential in the most time and cost-efficient manner. Our team regularly works with commercial and residential developers, engineers, real estate agents, community members, landowners, and others who are navigating the process of all types of land development and operations.

Our practice group members also serve on numerous local land use boards and have the experience of municipal planning staff, affording a unique perspective to efficiently achieve our clients’ development goals. We provide expert guidance and representation through all aspects of the development process including feasibility analysis, site plan review applications, variance applications, lot line adjustments, conditional use permits, special exceptions, and subdivision approvals. Practice group attorneys regularly represent our clients before municipal land use boards in the New England states, the Superior Courts, the Housing Appeals Board, and the Supreme Court. We are adept at reviewing land use ordinances and regulations.

We also represent clients in all types of wetlands and administrative regulatory matters. Our team regularly works with New England’s preeminent lenders, investors, engineers, architects, wetland scientists, brokers, and other real estate professionals to achieve the best results for our clients, time and again.
