I represent businesses and individuals in appeals and complex civil litigation in state and federal courts. My practice centers on appellate advocacy and employment litigation. I also litigate constitutional claims and business disputes.
I’ve handled more than 40 appeals across New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, and Connecticut, with a focus on the New Hampshire Supreme Court, where I have briefed and argued cases. I bring the precision and rigor of appellate advocacy to trial-court litigation, identifying potentially decisive issues, developing legal arguments, and preserving those issues for review.
Employers and employees turn to me in disputes involving discrimination, retaliation, and wages under federal and New Hampshire law, including claims under Title VII and RSA 354-A. I help clients assess the strengths and risks of their positions and determine whether to pursue a negotiated resolution, proceed to judgment, or seek appellate review.
My constitutional practice addresses the scope of government authority and the protection of individual and business rights under the federal and state constitutions. I represent clients challenging government action, including laws and regulations affecting property, business activity, and freedom of expression.
Before joining Devine Millimet, I clerked for Chief Justice Gordon J. MacDonald and Justice Gary E. Hicks at the New Hampshire Supreme Court and interned at the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. I graduated cum laude from Boston University School of Law, where I was an editor for the Journal of Science & Technology Law.
Outside the office, I enjoy golfing, motorcycling through the White Mountains, and following cases pending before the United States Supreme Court.
