As a civil trial lawyer, I advocate for a range of businesses, professionals and individuals before state and federal trial and appeals courts, working as a team with my clients to employ risk-based strategies to achieve the best outcome – whether that means going to mediation or going to trial. I have appeared in the District, Superior and Supreme Court of New Hampshire, as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire.

I bring to my civil trial work the courtroom experience I gained early in my career in criminal law, serving as a Practice-Certified Law Clerk in the Homicide Unit of the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office and handling misdemeanors and violent felonies in the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office.

I have helped resolve a diverse set of complex commercial, contract and tort matters for commercial businesses, municipalities and educational institutions: including cases defending mass-tort allegations from many hundreds of claimants. I have also defended major regional media organizations and journalists in claims of defamation, protecting their right to fairly and accurately report the news under the First Amendment Press Privilege. This work brings me great purpose.

I also represent employees whose rights have been violated in the workplace. My practice includes claims involving defamation, discrimination, harassment, retaliation and constructive discharge. I am committed to holding employers accountable, no matter their size, while guiding clients through what is often a highly personal and challenging process. My background in criminal law and investigations informs a thorough, detail-oriented approach to fact-intensive and nuanced employment litigation matters.

I support my community in as a member of the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association, a Board Member of the Daniel Webster Inn of Court, a volunteer attorney for 603 Legal Aid’s Domestic Violence Emergency Project (DOVE), and a past member of the New Hampshire Supreme Court Ethics Committee.

I was born and raised in the great state of New Hampshire and am grateful to have returned here to practice law. When I am not working, I devote my free time to my partner, Sarah, and our rescue dog, Alma. I love golfing, skiing, chess, and exploring the natural beauty of New England’s lakes by paddle board.
