I am a career litigator and problem solver.  When I enter a federal or state courtroom to represent the interests of my clients, I bring more than two decades of experience with me.

For the past 16 years, I was honored to represent the interests of the United States of America as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of New Hampshire.  Prior to that, I spent several years working for a large New England law firm representing both individual and commercial clients.

My practice focuses on bankruptcy matters and consumer and commercial litigation.  I am well-versed in all chapters of the Bankruptcy Code and look forward to assisting individuals or commercial entities during times of economic difficulty.  I work with clients to get the fresh start that bankruptcy is intended to provide and to help them to navigate challenging financial circumstances.  I also represent creditors seeking to maximize their collections when there are assets available in bankruptcy actions.

My federal court litigation experience includes labor and employment disputes, defense of medical malpractice actions, collections litigation and contract disputes.  While I am always prepared to take cases to trial in state or federal courts, I have a strong track record of recommending and negotiating settlements to minimize litigation risk and legal costs when appropriate.

When I am not assisting clients, I enjoy using my legal background as a Board Member on the New Hampshire Board of Bar Examiners, grading Bar Exams and responding to accommodation requests.  I am a native of New Hampshire and a die-hard New England sports fan.  Outside of the office (and for the majority of the calendar year), I coach my twin boys’ hockey team, and, during what little off-ice season we have, I enjoy watching them play baseball as a dynamic pitcher-catcher duo.  I also take any opportunity the weather offers us to get out on the golf course with my family in a never-ending pursuit of a handicap below 15.
