Corporate Attorney

Manchester, NH Office Location

Devine Millimet, one of Northern New England’s largest law firms, is seeking an energetic attorney to join our Corporate Practice Team for our Manchester office. This position will include general representation of businesses and non-profit organizations in a wide range of sophisticated matters including, but not limited to, federal and state tax planning and controversies, tax exempt organizations, tax exempt bonds, employee benefits, ERISA, and merger and acquisition transactions.    
 
The successful candidate must have 3 - 8 years of general corporate practice group experience as well as superior writing skills and admission to the NH and/or MA Bar. An LLM in taxation or CPA license a plus. All candidates must be able to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Practice Support Coordinator - Government Affairs

Concord, NH Office Location

Devine Millimet, one of Northern New England’s largest law firms, is seeking a Practice Support Coordinator to join our Legislative and Government Affairs practice in our Concord, NH office. 
 
The Legislative and Government Affairs practice is unique within Devine Millimet. While other practices work at applying the law, we work at making the law. With a 424-person legislature and both a governor and an executive council, New Hampshire is a state unlike any other, and our job is to guide our clients through the intricacies of that governmental environment.

The Practice Support Coordinator is an integral part of the Legislative and Government Affairs team, responsible for every aspect of their administrative support. She or he must be a problem solver who thrives in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. The successful candidate will possess the intellectual curiosity to learn and understand the practice, and then be able to anticipate support needs proactively. The position “wears many hats” such as managing the legislative calendar, tracking and researching legislation, drafting documents, coordinating marketing initiatives, client billing, monitoring hearings, and providing or coordinating all of the administrative support essential to the success of the practice.

The successful candidate will find no lack of advancement opportunity, but should be sure to keep their focus firmly on the present. With the success of the team comes success of the individual, and vice versa.

The position requires excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential client issues. Must be detailed oriented and able to work under tight deadlines, and have strong organizational, time management and prioritization abilities. Must have a demonstrated facility in the entire Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with document management systems is desirable. Must have strong research skills. Must have at least a strong interest in public policy, government, and/or legislative affairs; experience a plus. Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience preferred.

Litigation Legal Assistant

Manchester, NH Office Location

Devine Millimet, one of the largest law firms in northern New England, seeks an experienced Legal Assistant to support their litigation department in Manchester, NH.
 
The successful candidate will be a proven team player with strong organizational and time management skills, pay strict attention to detail, have the ability to problem solve, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. File management skills are necessary. Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems, fast and accurate transcription skills, and 75 wpm typing are required. Must have 7 plus years of experience in a fast paced environment, a high degree of confidentiality, and a positive attitude.

Accounts Payable Specialist

Manchester, NH Office Location

Devine Millimet, one of Northern New England’s largest law firms, is seeking an energetic Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance department located at our Manchester, NH office. 
 
The successful candidate will have a good track record of organizational, detail and follow up skills necessary to take ownership of this area. The position requires experience with processing accounts payable consistently and timely, along with multi-tasking and the ability to understand the bigger picture. Accounts payable work relates closely to and is involved on a daily basis with the billing functions of the firm. Prior accounts payable experience in a legal setting is helpful but not required.
