For the last 10 years I have worked with individuals and families to develop, implement and modify their estate plans. Some estate plans are simple, while others can become quite complex. Regardless, planning needs evolve over time, from how to fund your minor child’s college education to successfully transferring your business when you enter retirement. I work with individuals and families to help make this process seamless and predictable.
My practice has also focused on multi-generational farming families with a keen interest in protecting their legacies for generations to come. It is hard work to build a successful farming operation, let alone keep that operation intact across generations. I help families develop and implement strategies to keep their legacies alive and operating for their children and grandchildren.
My estate planning practice includes strategies for asset transfer and protection, tax minimization, and business continuity. Estate plans typically consist of a variety of documents, including a Last Will and Testament, Trust Agreement, Durable Power of Attorney, and Advance Directive for Health Care. I use these tools, and others, to ensure my client’s assets are protected and goals accomplished.
My practice also includes administering estates after someone passes and administering trusts both while my clients are alive and after. In these situations, I want my clients to have confidence their desires and goals will be accomplished after they are gone. Confidence, in turn, brings peace of mind and clarity to what many consider a difficult and anxiety inducing subject.
Aside from work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children and am an outdoor enthusiast.
