Paul L. Salafia
I assist employers and self-insured trusts in navigating the complexities of the New Hampshire workers’ compensation statute. Knowing how to stay in compliance with the statute and how to avoid work-related injuries can require legal guidance. Once claims are made, I work closely with employers to negotiate settlements when possible and prepare cases for New Hampshire Department of Labor litigation. Employment law issues and workers’ compensation issues frequently go hand in hand, which means I also work with employment law lawyers at Devine Millimet. I am the author of the New Hampshire Workers’ Compensation Treatise and a member of the National LexisNexis panel of experts.  Workers’ compensation is a topic I’m often invited to speak about at national roundtable discussions.
I have defended workers’ compensation claims on a daily basis for 26 years. The clients I work with are almost exclusively self-insured employers and self-insured trusts. This client base requires both exceptional service and exceptional communication. Representative clients include the New Hampshire Auto Dealers Association, the New Hampshire Motor Transport Association, Primex3, Lowe’s, Osram Sylvania, the City of Manchester, and the City of Nashua.
My first priority is spending time with and taking care of my family. I also love music, movies, and books. I feel that lessons learned from books and movies make me a better person and a better lawyer. Music makes me a happier person.
