I really enjoy working with clients and attorneys to craft solutions to legal problems. Oftentimes, a solution may not be readily apparent, but when reasonable people are involved, it is not impossible to find or create. In addition to problem-solving, my goal is to enable clients to make their vision a reality, whether that involves starting, purchasing or selling a company. I work with Devine Millimet’s Corporate Team to help clients navigate the myriad of choices involved in starting and maintaining a successful business.
I have also worked as in-house corporate counsel to a global medical device manufacturer with 800+ employees, advising on, negotiating and preparing a number of different types of contracts. I firmly believe that the size of the contract should not change the veracity of representation. It is in a similar capacity that I serve as outside counsel to businesses looking for legal advice with respect to corporate governance, compliance and contract negotiation or review, among other things.
I attended the University of New Hampshire School of Law, where I participated in the Daniel Webster Scholar Honors Program. I was also a teaching assistant for three classes and founder of the Veterans Law Society, a student organization devoted to justice for veterans. In my final year, I was a member of the Commercial and Consumer Law Clinic. As a law student, I represented clients in matters ranging from subrogation claims to consumer protection and foreclosure cases. Before joining Devine Millimet, I also consulted at the New Hampshire Insurance Department on matters pertaining to life, accident, and health insurance.
Prior to practicing law, I served for 11 years in the U.S. Air Force as a Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) Specialist, where it was my honor to educate service members on surviving austere conditions behind enemy lines, including all types of captivity. Following the Air Force, I worked at the Marine Corps Special Operations School instructing SERE to Marine Corps special operators.
In my free time, I can be found hiking, camping, boating, kayaking, running, swimming, and spending time doing many of these things with my wife and kids. We also love to travel and to explore new places.
