Our annual evaluation process is a check on the effectiveness of our training and mentoring programs and the performance of our attorneys and paralegals. The evaluation form is comprehensive, and comments are solicited from all shareholders and senior associates for whom the attorney or paralegal being evaluated has worked. The process is not merely a review of the work performed by the attorney or paralegal. Rather, it is designed to also elicit input on the types of work, training and development that the attorney or paralegal would like to receive in the coming years. This two-way process results in a dialogue designed to promote professional development within the firm.
