Devine Millimet's Land Use Practice Group represents a wide variety of developers, owners and lenders with the permitting and development of major real estate and facility siting projects throughout New England. Our land use attorneys provide comprehensive representation to clients throughout the development process, from the initial planning stages through permitting, construction, and occupancy. We regularly assist clients in obtaining local, state and federal approvals for zoning, subdivision, site approval, condominium, wetland, and shoreland approvals. Our attorneys represent clients before zoning boards, planning boards and state regulatory agencies throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The Land Use Practice Group also provides a strong trial and appellate court practice. Our attorneys have successfully litigated numerous matters before the New Hampshire Supreme Court.
Devine Millimet's Land Use Group includes a diverse group of attorneys from the firm's Environmental, Real Estate, and Litigation Practice Groups in order to assist clients with the full range of land use development issues. Our attorneys have the experience to navigate the most complex and potentially sensitive projects. In connection with the Firm's Telecommunications Practice Group, we regularly assist telecommunications carriers and tower builders for the successful siting of telecommunications facilities. We work closely with the Government Relations Group and Devine Strategies, the strategic consulting subsidiary of Devine Millimet, to influence public opinion and in certain cases, to help revise state regulations and law, and local land use regulations. - Assistance in the planning and zoning for and creation of condominium for a medical office building and structure parking garage set in a tight urban setting adjunct to a major New Hampshire hospital in which the buildings are located on land condominiums
- Representation of several telecommunications carriers and cell tower builders in zoning and planning matters for the successful siting of telecommunications facilities statewide
- Assistance in obtaining federal, state, and local approvals for a 199-unit residential subdivision for the Mount Washington Resort. Also assisted the MWR on zoning changes and planning for mixed use "alpine village" development
- Represented developers in obtaining controversial comprehensive permits for affordable housing under Massachusetts Chapter 40B
- Represented national developer with respect to various aspects of acquisition, permitting, development and sale of projects consisting of more than 1,500 combined housing units in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Florida and California
