MANCHESTER, New Hampshire - Elaine M. Michaud, Chair of Devine
Millimet's Litigation Department, was recently named a member of the board of directors of the Friends of CHaD, the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock.
Elaine joins 25 other board members in their mission to raise funds, promote public awareness and encourage community support to ensure that the children in our region have access to the full range of CHaD's services and programs. As New Hampshire's only children's hospital, CHaD is committed to providing outstanding compassionate care for children and their families with locations in Lebanon, Manchester, Dover and several other sites across NH. CHaD cares for the region's sickest and most critically injured and fragile kids and has the only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center north of Boston. CHaD is part of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and was recognized in 1992 as a "children's hospital within a hospital" by the National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions Inc. CHaD is one of 205 children's hospitals in the United States providing care specifically focused for children.
Elaine currently chairs Devine Millimet's Healthcare Practice Group and provides both counseling and litigation services for individual medical professionals and institutional clients in the healthcare industry. She represents medical institutions and rehabilitation and long-term care facilities in the areas of risk management, policy development, medical staff affairs, credentialing, peer review, and quality assurance. In addition to her work with CHaD, Attorney Michaud serves on the Board of Directors for both the Greater Manchester Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester. She is also actively involved in numerous other community and professional organizations.
