Our Summer Associate Program is in place to recruit, train, and hire the firm's future legal professionals. The program is a highly active one that seeks out the top law students with stellar academic achievement. It challenges them through a 12- week summer program working alongside our attorneys with significant feedback and mentoring.
Every associate, when joining the firm, is given a mentor. The experienced mentor continually reviews the associate's work and gives feedback on a regular basis. Our Marketing Team also encourages attorneys to develop marketing skills and business development plans as a critical part of their development. Associates have an informal review in the Spring and a formal review in the Fall with their mentors. All shareholders have a meeting twice a year to discuss the progress of each associate. The associate is informed of the result of these meetings, and plans are created for continuing career growth.
The firm also offers opportunities for all staff to attend in-house or external training sessions. We provide technical and computer training, marketing training, as well as sessions that focus on such topics as preventing sexual harassment, and improving managerial skills, human relations and communication.
