Devine Millimet - Attorneys at Law Revere Bell in Manchester

In The Community

Devine Millimet strives to be an integral part of the many communities in which we live and work. Our attorneys and staff actively participate in a wide variety of charitable, civic, cultural, professional and political organizations.

Some of these include: Boys & Girls Clubs; the YMCA and YWCA; Kiwanis, Rotary and Lion's Clubs; the Boy Scouts of America; local Chambers of Commerce and the United Way. Our attorneys also contribute their personal time to local arts organizations such as symphonies or opera and theatre groups. During the course of their involvement, most have assumed leadership roles becoming trustees or board members.

Our members volunteer as coaches for local youth sports teams, serve as city councilors or sit on planning and steering committees for their cities and towns, or are active within religious, charitable and alumni groups. Our Pro Bono Committee also assists low-income tenants facing evictions, often on very short notice.

The firm has repeatedly exhibited its generosity in raising funds, or collecting donations, for causes such as the Salvation Army, the victims of 911 and Hurricane Katrina, and the family of a police officer killed in the line of duty.

Whenever possible, these fundraisers are infused with friendly and spirited competition as with the Sing Your Heart Out and the Kiss The Pig fundraiser for the American Heart Association, where donors voted for the attorney they most wanted to sing karaoke or kiss a pig. The Tuna Open, a ten-hole miniature golf tournament tested our staff's golf acumen while also benefiting a local food bank.

Occasionally, this competition extends beyond the firm as was the case with the Heritage United Way campaign. For the past two years, Devine Millimet challenged local law firms to see which firm could raise the most. While Devine didn't come in first place this year, there was still a lot to celebrate. The United Way became the real winner receiving over $198,500 from the combined efforts of the four firms.

As a firm, we believe it is important to be a good corporate citizen and we encourage all of our employees to be involved with organizations that make a difference in our communities.
